Possibilities from inside-out - The Silverado 1500 is available in three cab sizes, three box lengths, five trim levels and a choice of either two- or four-wheel drive. A Vortec engine is standard in every Silverado. | Safety First - StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System; dual-stage front air bags and a front passenger seat Passenger Sensing System that automatically switches the right-front passenger air bag on or off based on the passenger’s weight and the type of pressure on the seat; available head-curtain side-impact air bags; OnStar with a one-year Safe & Sound Plan with services that include Advanced Automatic Crash Notification and OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics; and four-wheel antilock brakes with Dynamic Rear Proportioning (DRP), which recognizes rear-brake lockup and regulates pressure applied to the rear brakes. The 2010 Silverado 1500 earned five stars — the highest possible government rating — for frontal and side-impact crash tests. |
Perfecting the Art of Hauling - The Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission includes Tow/Haul mode. This feature enhances performance while pulling a trailer or hauling heavy loads. When activated, this feature modifies the automatic transmission shift schedule and helps reduce throttle pedal activity by the driver while traveling over rolling terrain. The available Cargo Management System utilizes sliding hooks embedded in C-channel tracks that run along both sides and the front of the pickup box. Each anchor in this integrated, configurable system is rated up to 500 lbs. It’s easy to take advantage of this system with numerous dealer-installed features such as side storage boxes and a ladder rack from Chevy Accessories. |
